Ringlight.us is a new way of staying in touch with your friends. Share documents, photo's and much more through the touch of a button. No longer will you have to wait for a file to download Ringlight allows you to connect directly to your friends, as well as stream content directly to each other with no intermediary services involved.
ACTLab TV is an open source initiative Brandon Wiley co-founded while in graduated school at the University of Texas at Austin in the New Media program. Through the facilitation of Sandy Stone and along with a fellow colleague Brandon helped develop a peer to peer streaming video system that allows content providers to share broadcast to thousands of users over their own broadband connections. The project is currently under alpha testing.
ACTLab-
Brandon currently work with the ACTLab, a group at the University of Texas at Austin, as a consultant. He regularly gives lectures, helps students with special projects as well as helps develop strategies for curriculum, administration and public relations.
The Foundation For Decentralization Research-
Founded by Brandon Wiley, FDR is an initiative to develop various types of rhizome type networks, both physical and virtually oriented.
Past Projects
Freenet-
Brandon Wiley co-founded freenet back in 1999 along with Ian Clarke. Freenet is free software which lets you publish and obtain information on the Internet without fear of censorship. Brandon no longer participates in this project, however he still developers anonymity models and hopes to one day implement new systems.
